Dear Members & Supporters,
I’d like to welcome you to our new monthly newsletter.
We will be sending out the newsletter at the end of every month going forward, although this month’s newsletter is early due to Christmas.
We have had quite a few changes this year and wanted to let you know about them.
We have a new Executive Officer John Carnohan, who many of you will know already as a business adviser of Bayside BEC.
We also have myself, Louise Brawn, I am the new Memberships and Partnerships Manager and we can also welcome Eleni Aroney as our dedicated Events and Branding Manager, and last but not least the lovely and bubbly Zdenka Sciacca our Social Media Specialist. Some of you may have met Zdenka at the recent Pinterest Workshop on the 12th of Dec which was very well received. Zdenka will be doing a follow-up workshop in Feb 2020 and we are still locking in the date, but it will be the next step up from the last workshop.
We will also be unveiling our new website by the latest 1st Jan 2020, it will have a far more user-friendly interface, as well as many resources for members. We have also started videoing each workshop and these will be available online for members to view via our new website in Feb.
We are also starting to put together a member discount, so I will be reaching out to each member over the next few months, to discuss what discount your company would be willing to offer other members. We hope to have this up and running by mid-2020. We are also issuing membership cards to all our members and you should have yours by mid-February.
Our 2020 events line up is looking exciting with 4 events already scheduled for Feb and one at the end of January when everyone is back after the school holidays finish.
The first event of the year will be on the 30th of Jan at Eastgardens Library at 9.30 am to 11.30 am and Isabelle Durkin will be holding a workshop called Kickstart Your 2020 Digital Marketing Strategy. Isabelle is extremely experienced in marketing and is a trainer at a well-regarded Sydney private training institution as well as being an adviser with Bayside BEC.
We’re aiming to increase the number of workshops and will be holding some in the Rockdale general area as well as Eastgardens, and we will also be putting on some workshops in the evenings as well as cheese and wine networking events, in addition to our traditional Thursday workshops.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in 2019 and wish you and your loved ones a very safe and happy holiday season and all the best in 2020.
The team at Bayside BEC
